How it works

1. You can enrol at any time. Once your enrolment has been processed, we will forward the first module with accompanying relevant assignments together with a prepaid envelope for the return of your assignments if you are studying within the UK. Students outside the UK study by email to maintain an efficient service and to ensure that the course remains economically viable.

2. Send back your completed assignments, and they are returned with constructive comments together with your next module. Assignments which do not meet a satisfactory standard are referred back with constructive comments on areas for reworking. Tutors are available to give further help to students to address any learning needs.

3. You can take as much time as you need to complete each module but the course, in total, must be completed within 12 months. TJS reserves the right to terminate the course if it has not been completed within the 12 months deadline or at any time if the standard of assignments does not reach that deemed satisfactory by The Journalism School. By enrolling on the course, students agree to commit time to complete every module including all the assignments and pledge that the work is wholly their own.

4. You can study by post or by email, with large print available upon request. We work with all students to address any individual needs or requirements.

5. Students who complete the course and who have demonstrated a satisfactory standard throughout are awarded a Diploma in Journalism certificate by The Journalism School.
