How it works

1. You can enrol at any time. Once your enrolment has been processed, we will forward the first module with accompanying relevant assignments. In order to ensure the course remains affordable, and to maintain an efficient service, the course is conducted by email.

2. Send back your completed assignments, and they are returned with constructive comments together with your next module. Assignments which do not meet a satisfactory standard are referred back with constructive comments on areas for reworking. Your tutor is available to assist in helping to address any learning needs.

3. You can take as much time as you need to complete each module but the course, in total, must be completed within 12 months. TJS reserves the right to terminate the course if it has not been completed within the 12 months deadline or at any time if the standard of assignments does not meet that deemed satisfactory by The Journalism School. In any event, our contract with you lasts for 12 months from the date of enrolment after which it expires. By enrolling on the course, students agree to commit time to complete every module including all the assignments and pledge that the work is wholly their own. Please see full Terms and Conditions.

4. Large print available upon request. We work with all students to address any individual needs or requirements.

5. Students who complete the course and who have demonstrated a satisfactory standard throughout are awarded a Diploma in Journalism certificate by The Journalism School.
